Product Description
Our M5 Brass Threaded Inserts are precision-machined components designed for reliable threaded connections in plastics, wood, FRP and soft metals. Available as a blind (closed-end) insert, this product is ideal where the screw entry must be sealed. The outside profile features diamond knurling for ultrasonic and heat-staking fixation and a single circumferential groove for additional mechanical retention or adhesive seating.
Manufactured from dezincification-resistant brass (C360 / C465) using CNC turning, reaming and thread tapping or thread milling, these inserts deliver consistent thread quality, excellent corrosion resistance (when plated), and reliable pull-out & torque performance. We manufacture to strict tolerances and conduct thread GO/NO-GO, plating thickness checks and mechanical tests before dispatch.
Applications: consumer electronics, automotive interiors, furniture hardware, lighting, sensors, industrial enclosures, medical equipment housings, toys and household appliances.

Recommended Installation Methods
- Ultrasonic insertion for thermoplastics: use ultrasonic press and ensure proper depth stop and temperature control
- Heat-staking preheat insert then press into plastic cavity
- Press-fit for accurately sized holes in preformed bores; use arbor press with appropriate tooling
- Adhesive groove can hold epoxy/adhesive bead for extra retention (groove recommended for glue seat)
